Why I Started Paying Attention to Virtual Betting Options

I won’t sugarcoat it. For the longest time, I basically just thought virtual betting was just a way to fill the gaps in between real betting lines.

Fast forward to March about a year ago, and I was up at eleven-thirty on a random Tuesday. I figured the best I could do was try and place a bet to kill the time. There were no lines available, and no interesting games to bet on until the morning. As I was desperate, I took a better look at what I had on offer after all, and saw casino games and virtual sports it was all just there waiting for me. I was already just super bored so I clicked it anyway. What happened next was actually pretty groundbreaking, just in terms of something to entertain me while I’m super bored, and bet at the same time.

Real Money, Simulated Events

I was blown away because unlike what I had thought, virtual betting was just a fancy awful animated random number generator. In reality, something like this was much better because the more proper sites actually take the time to pull data from real sports to create a betting simulation. I actually remember the first time I saw a virtual Premier League Betting Match draw. The underdog actually scored in the 83rd and my pulse shot up.

The thing is the results come in three minutes vs 90. For me, that was the real selling point. I like the betting rush, and this is more conducive to a fast lifestyle.

What Actually Works for Me

Playing with that bet money, I lost around $230 over the course of three months. That was money I was willing to spend to figure out a bunch of different betting strategies for the first time. By the end, I had actually figured out a bunch of different strategies. Some of them actually relied on patterns that actually paid out.

Understanding the sports you gamble on makes a huge difference. I know football well, so I don’t mess with virtual horse racing. When you treat the first 5–7 bets as research instead of profit, you are less likely to experience early tilt. I had to learn the hard way to implement a strict 12 bet limit per session.

I’ll be real with you. There are no hidden betting systems here. I was pleased with 18% profit, but it was not enough to retire on. I was not in this for the money, but for the freedom to place bets when I wanted to without restrictions. I’d even bet when I was free and the real sports were not.

The Schedule Thing Nobody Talks About

The best thing about betting with virtual sports is that I work a night shift IT job in a hospital. Virtual sports completely avoid the day and night scheduling disparity. Most real sports happen when I am busy at work or when I am trying to sleep.

I have placed bets any day and any hour of the week and have never had to deal with delayed betting or postponed events. Events run every few minutes without fail.

Virtual sports even provide a betting variety that can be tough to find in real sports. I placed bets on football, basketball, tennis, and even cycling. I even watched a virtual Tour de France that took 4 minutes.

My Unexpected Takeaway

Initially resorted to virtual betting when all other options were exhausted, but now choose virtual betting on tight time restraints. While traditional betting provides a better experience since there are human athletes participating, when time is short, and a betting itch is needed, virtual betting is now something I appreciate.

Virtual betting has improved substantially. Not exactly PS5 quality, but better compared to previous versions with blocky graphics.

Most likely, virtual betting will not replace traditional betting, but I will no longer see virtual betting as inferior. Sometimes you want a sit down meal at a restaurant, and sometimes you settle for a snack on the go. Both are valid.
