World Cup 2026 leaderboard: PariPesa puts a TV, iPhones and PS5 on the line for African players

PariPesa is running a competitive leaderboard promotion throughout the final stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, giving players the chance to compete for one of 50 prize-winning positions by placing qualifying wagers on World Cup matches between 11 June and 19 July 2026. The prize pool includes premium consumer electronics as well as cash free bets, with rewards scheduled to be distributed between 19 July and 19 August 2026. As part of its World Cup campaign, the online betting website continues to offer football fans additional opportunities to engage with the tournament through promotional competitions and leaderboard challenges.

How the leaderboard works

This promotion has a points system, and this system is based on the bets placed on World Cup matches. Each successful qualifying bet adds five points to a player’s position (or standing) on the leaderboard. Each unsuccessful bet will take away (or deduct) five points. The qualifying bet can be placed with a minimum stake of €0.50, and the minimum odds can be 1.30. There is no limit to the number of bets placed, and this system is intended for those participants who place bets in full on this World Cup stage.

Both single bets and accumulator bets can qualify, but they are treated differently. The accumulator must have at least three different bets that pertain to three different World Cup matches, and each of those three bets must have odds of 1.30 or greater. System bets will not qualify. If you place a bet with a bonus or free bet, or if you used a cash out, then those points will not count.

Prizes from first place to fiftieth

Positions 1 to 50 have a combination of prizes, with the top 10 getting prizes in hardware and 11th to 50th positions taking home prizes in free bets.

Why this promotion lands differently in Africa

The 2026 FIFA World Cup promotion is taking place during one of the most exciting times of football in sub-Saharan Africa. Countries such as Nigeria, Kenya, and Ghana have a great deal of dedicated football fans and bettors who are likely to bet on the World Cup Finals. This promotion directly benefits those players.

The Rio World Cup should give PariPesa a great deal of market insights and experience to design an elegant marketing promotion. The consumer electronics available in this promotion – a TV with audio, an iPad Pro, a PS5 and an iPhone 17 – represent a much better offer to West African markets compared to cash equivalents. Extending the prize ladder to 50 slots also means that players who are lower on the leaderboard, but still have a significant chance of winning, are still likely to participate.

PariPesa and the World Cup moment

PariPesa is one of the leading licensed operators within Africa, attending the 2026 World Cup after receiving the Best Sports Betting Operator award at the SiGMA Africa Awards 2025. The licensed betting operator in Africa is able to expand after being the first operator to legally enter the country by obtaining the necessary licenses and offering betting products tailored to the local market.

As evidenced by PariPesa’s plans to run an extravagant month-long promotion for the World Cup, the operator’s focus is to keep participants engaged for the duration of the World Cup, as the promotion will run for the entire duration of the World Cup from the group stage to the final, on 19 July 2026, and participants can collect their rewards after the promotion ends. This opportunity is only available to African players.
