The League Phase has already claimed plenty of high-profile scalps, with reigning Italian champions Napoli, former European champions Marseille, and Spanish outfits Athletic Bilbao and Villarreal all bowing out. But many of the big boys remain in contention, and online betting sites have a clear favorite in mind.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The latest Champions League odds from the popular <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.luckyrebel.la\/sportsbook\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lucky Rebel Sports Book<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> make current Premier League table toppers Arsenal the clear 5\/2 favorites to claim the coveted &#8216;Big-Eared&#8217; trophy for the first time in history in Budapest in May. They are closely followed by German champions Bayern Munich at 7\/2, with Barcelona and Manchester City further back at 6\/1. But every year, an underdog always rises to the fore.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inter Milan have surprisingly reached the final in two of the last three campaigns. Sandwiched in between those two appearances came Borussia Dortmund&#8217;s shock run to the final in 2024, which unfortunately ended at the hands of Real Madrid. So, who will it be this year? Let&#8217;s take a look.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Real Madrid\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Can the record 15-time European champions ever be considered an underdog in the UEFA Champions League? Well, if the betting odds are to be believed, they certainly can. No fewer than six teams are considered more likely to leave Budapest as champions than Real Madrid, an unusual statistic considering the Spanish giants are normally at the top of the betting charts. However, their odds certainly price in the fact that Los Blancos have been uncharacteristically poor so far this term.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manager <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/sport\/football\/articles\/cj3vj7ex748o#:~:text=Xabi%20Alonso%20has%20left%20his,minutes%20later%20announced%20Arbeloa's%20appointment.\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Xabi Alonso was sacked<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> after losing the Spanish Super Cup final to rivals Barcelona, and his replacement Alvaro Arbeloa has had testing times throughout his first week in the Bernabeu hotseast. His side was stunned by second-tier Albacete in the Copa Del Rey and dismantled in a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Jose Mourinho&#8217;s Benfica in the Champions League. As well as that, an injury to superstar Jude Bellingham and the suspension of talismanic winger Vinicius Jr. have also thrown spanners into the works.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But whenever Kylian Mbappe is in the starting lineup, anything is possible. The mercurial Frenchman has been in spectacular form so far this season, netting a mighty 38 goals in just 21 games in all competitions. He has 13 goals in just seven games in the Champions League, and the former PSG man is in the type of form where he can win games on his own. 12\/1 odds make Real a narrow outsider, but they will surely shrink while Mbappe remains in this form.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Inter Milan\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Throughout the last three years, Inter Milan has continually found a way to upset the odds. Throughout 2022\/23, they took full advantage of being positioned in the weaker half of the draw, knocking off FC Porto, Benfica, and cross-city rivals AC Milan to punch their tickets to a first Champions League final since Mourinho&#8217;s triumph in 2010. Last season, the draw wasn&#8217;t as kind, but the Nerazzurri still managed to find a way to upset the odds, beating giants Bayern and Barcelona to reach the final once more, only to be humbled 5-0 by Paris Saint-Germain on the grandest stage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rookie manager Christian Chivu has Inter playing some sublime stuff this term. They&#8217;re a whopping nine points clear at the top of Serie A, and they look poised to reclaim the Scudetto after being pipped to the crown by Napoli last season. But even so, the bookies aren&#8217;t convinced that they can mount another continental run, pricing them at 25\/1 to win the trophy. Perhaps the odds are lengthier due to the fact that the Nerazzurri will have to progress through the playoff round in order to secure a spot in the last 16, but even so, they will surely progress past Norwegian outfit Bod\u00f8\/Glimt at a canter.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Should they do that, the draw could once again open up for them. With a stacked squad containing the prolific Lautaro Mart\u00ednez and the watertight backline of Alessandro Bastoni and Manuel Akanji, Inter will be thinking they can take the fight to anybody, just as they did last term.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Atletico Madrid\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Diego Simeone&#8217;s Atletico Madrid are a team that everyone wants to avoid every single season. Last year, they were <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">unlucky to be knocked out<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the Champions League last 16 at the hands of rivals Real Madrid, with Julian Alvaraz&#8217;s &#8220;double kick&#8221; penalty controversially being ruled out, something which forced FIFA to change the rules of a penalty shootout. The year before, they collapsed at the hands of Borussia Dortmund just as the draw seemed to open up for them and a spot in the final beckoned.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This term, Atl\u00e9ti are a little more off the pace than usual in La Liga. The recent 1-0 home defeat to Real Betis has left them 13 points off league leaders Barcelona. However, in the Copa Del Rey, they are through to the semifinals, and the form in those knockout contests could spell danger for their European contemporaries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los Rojiblancos did stumble through the league phase of the Champions League, and that may be why they&#8217;re considered a 40\/1 outsider to win the tournament. They will have to come through a playoff with Club Brugge if they wish to contend, and the Belgian side has been in good form on home turf in Europe this term.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, one would expect Atleti to pass that test, especially with new signing Ademola Lookman pulling the strings.
